Dimitris Poulios

Architect-Urban Planner | PhD - Lecturer in Urban Planning-Urban Design | Technical University of Crete | Partner, Thymio Papayannis and Associates (TPA)

Dimitris Poulios was born in 1984 in Volos, Greece. He studied Architecture at the University of Thessaly, graduating in 2010. He furthered his studies in Urban Design at Cardiff University (UK) with a scholarship from the Bodossaki Foundation.

His academicinterests lie in Urban Design, Urban Planning, Spatial Policies, and Participatory Planning. In 2021, he completed his PhD in Urban Planning at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) as a scholar of the Onassis Foundation. 

He has been distinguished in architectural and urban planning competitions and has gained experience working on projects in Greece and abroad (UK, Albania, Cyprus, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and others). 

In 2013, he joined the team at Thymio Papayannis and Associates as a consultant-collaborator and became a Partner in 2020. Since 2022, he has been teaching Urban Planning and Urban Design at the University of Thessaly and the Technical University of Crete as a Visiting Professor.
