In this captivating and moving speech, Stratis Panourios talks about his experience as the first theatre director to put on a play inside a prison. He describes this experience as a unique opportunity to overcome his limits, both as a man and as an artist. Stratis Panourios is multi-talented: he studied theatre production at the Greek National Theatre and film production at the New York College in Athens. He is also a writer and an actor. He worked as a director at the Greek National Theatre, at the Cyprus Theatre Organisation, the Patras Regional Theatre Agrinio and Corfu. His plays were performed in Greece and Cyprus. He is a member of the International Theatre Institute and the Swedish Institute in Athens. He is also one of the founding members of the Art Organisation “Kohili” (Seashell).
