TEDxAthens turned 15!

The year 2024 was a milestone for TEDxAthens, marking 15 years since the first ever TEDxAthens. its inception.

Established in 2009 with the theme “Mind the Idea” TEDxAthens has grown to become one of the most significant platforms for ideas exchange and community empowerment. Over 500 speakers and performers from diverse fields and disciplines have shared their ideas on the TEDxAthens stage. Through the years, TEDxAthens has navigated “Uncharted Waters”, embracing change as its only constant, accompanied by the “The Great Unknown” ultimately arriving at this year’s theme, “X Machina”!

More than 22,000 attendees have participated in TEDxAthens over the past 15 years. They’ve joined events, activities, Q&A sessions, and workshops, attended talks and performances, and become part of its legacy, broadening their horizons. None of this would have been possible without the support of around 150 volunteers each year, who contribute to the organization and the unique experience it offers. TEDxAthens has explored 13 different thematic topics so far, consistently highlighting ideas, initiatives, and challenges across technology, science, art, and society.

Celebrating its anniversary, TEDxAthens XV offered an unforgettable experience and an amazing birthday party!
